A faith-rooted, community-driven foundation committed to empowering vulnerable families through structured programs and compassionate action.
Grace Nyaweda Empowerment Foundation (GNEF) was founded through the vision and compassion of Grace Lorna Mori (Nyaweda), a woman whose life was dedicated to serving vulnerable families in her community.
What began as personal acts of kindness—quietly paying school fees for needy children, providing food to hungry families, and offering a helping hand to widows—evolved into the structured foundation that bears her name today.
Grace believed in walking alongside those she supported. Her mentorship and personal engagement laid the foundation for a culture of compassion that continues to guide our work.
Following her passing in 2024, the Foundation continues her mission through structured governance, disciplined programs, and community stewardship. Every scholarship awarded, every woman empowered, and every community strengthened honors her legacy of love and compassion.
To build empowered, resilient, and self-sustaining communities grounded in dignity and opportunity.
To implement structured programs that support education, empower women economically, improve access to clean water, and strengthen community resilience while promoting responsible environmental stewardship.
These five principles guide every decision we make and every action we take.
We lead with empathy and genuine care for every individual and family we serve.
We operate with honesty, transparency, and accountability in all our actions.
We work alongside communities, respecting their wisdom and agency.
We are responsible for the resources entrusted to us and the impact we create.
We build programs designed for long-term resilience and environmental responsibility.

Grace's life was a testament to the power of compassion and personal engagement. She understood that true empowerment comes not from charity alone, but from walking alongside people, believing in their potential, and creating structured opportunities for lasting change.
"Her legacy lives on in every child who goes to school, every woman who starts a business, and every community that receives clean water. May we continue her work with the same dedication, compassion, and faith that defined her life."

Whether through support, partnership, or sharing your own story, you can be part of continuing Grace's legacy of empowerment and compassion.
